June 2018 Updates

It has been several months since our last changelog. Don't worry, these will become more frequent! Over the last several weeks (and months), ESEA's engineering teams have been hard at work. Below are some of the changes that have been deployed.

Client Team

  • Updated miscellaneous components within the UI
  • Fixed several rare crashes
  • Various bug fixes and internal improvements

Platform Team

  • New map veto system for events and tournaments
  • In-game live support resurrection (.report) and overhaul
  • ESEA Clips (.clip) released
  • Improved server booker intelligence to help prevent premature PUG and scrim match killing to accommodate league matches (in most cases)
  • Refreshed game server hardware in Atlanta, Denver, Los Angeles, Moscow, New York City, San Jose, Taipei, Singapore, and Washington D.C. locations
  • Added game server capacity in Atlanta, Denver, Dubai, Frankfurt, Los Angeles, Moscow, New York City, San Jose, St. Petersberg, Taipei, Singapore, and Washington D.C. locations
  • Optimized game server routing for several Middle East and North America residential ISPs (more Middle East optimizations being worked on)
  • Various bug fixes and internal improvements

Web Team

  • Rank S Money Matches released
  • ESEA Clips released
  • New Leaderboards released
  • Points Store updated with a new look
  • Rearranged the Manage Account area
  • Added better Twitch account linking to user profiles
  • Integrated Xsolla for payment processing
  • New payment history page to display recent payment history details
  • Enabled credit card, debit card, paysafecared, and many other payment options via Xsolla
  • Added cookie opt-in banner
  • Added ability to delete clips from user profile
  • Updated ESEA event and tournament system to squash some bugs and extend functionality
  • Updated the status page alert banner aesthetics
  • Fixed several display issues related to Rank S, Rank G, and Rank A+ leaderboards
  • Various bug fixes and internal improvements
