New Captains System for Rank S, G and Clubs!
To elevate competition to the next level, Rank S, Rank G, and ESEA Clubs now have the ability to utilize a new captains selection system. Rank S, Rank G and Clubs will now have 3 separate tiers that players can be set as.
- Captain
- Normal (default)
- Trial
Players set as Captain will always be a captain of the game. If there are more than two players set as Captain in the lobby then it will randomly select between them to decide the captain. If there are one or zero Captains in the lobby, players set as Normal are chosen to be captain, as it was in the previous system. Players set as Trial can never be captain unless the lobby is comprised of only Trial players. New players added to Rank S or Rank G will be set as Trial for a minimum of two weeks. All ESEA Club owners have the ability to implement this system into their own club and this can can be found in the club settings. You can apply to create a club by submitting a support ticket.

The players on these lists were chosen based off of their activity, skill and achievements outside of the Rank system that have been earned at ESL or Dreamhack events or through the ESEA League. It is important to maintain the Captains list based off these factors to ensure competitive games by allowing the teams to be chosen more fairly than before. These players have consistently performed well and understand the playerbase within their appropriate Rank. This list will be ever changing and players are always welcome to suggest new players to the Rank S and Rank G staff at any time to be taken into consideration.
