March 2020 Updates

Our engineering teams have been hard at work on updates and we wanted to share them with you. Below are some of the changes that have been recently deployed.

Client Team

  • Improved FPS on some systems that noticed FPS drops in recent game updates
  • Optimized how the ESEA Client updates when game updates are released
  • Fixed several rare ESEA Client crashes
  • Various bug fixes and internal improvements

Platform Team

  • Routing optimizations for several ISPs in Canada, Netherlands, and United States
  • Overhauled London game server infrastructure
  • Various bug fixes and internal improvements

Web Team

  • Updated Recruitment Center
  • Updated League Transactions
  • Added ability for ESEA Club owners to enable applications
  • Removed legacy support tickets page – tickets are now on support.esea.net
  • Improved ESL account linking process
  • Add SC2 logo for league history
  • Removed ability to set TF2 as default game
  • Allow team leader to delete team guestbook comments
  • Don’t hide banner on Rank pages when there is no data (filters were hidden)
  • Removed league predictions menu link
  • Fixed same month showing twice in activity graph
  • Fixed activity graph showing live games instead of only completed games
  • Fixed how disallowed markdown is displayed
  • Fixes to reduce chances of Google Translate and ad blockers breaking pages (note: unofficial browser extensions and add-ons may still break pages)
  • Fixed match card pistol kills
  • Fixed win/loss outcomes for best of x matches
  • Fixed profile record map names for workshop maps
  • Fixed removing suspects from suspects list
  • Fixed What To Watch "see more" link
  • Fixed page titles
  • Localization updates to multiple language translations
  • Multiple redesign updates and tweaks
